260,000-ton-class ore carrier - the reception ceremony for Houheng No. 5 has come to a successful conclusion

        On February 23, 2017, the 260,000-ton-class ore sander, Houheng No. 5, was built and put into use. Houheng No. 5 was built by the world's top ship builder, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Corporation. It is currently the most advanced ore carrier in the world. Houheng No. 5 has superior technical indicators such as heavy load, shallow draft, and low fuel consumption, which is in line with the current development trend of large international dry bulk carriers.
